The Code Blue Center of Phoenixville is at max capacity and cannot accept new referrals at this time.
Persons in need of shelter should call 2-1-1 and select Option 2. Or visit www.211sepa.org

Temporary Change to Timing of December SNAP Benefits
ALL December SNAP benefits will be loaded to EBT cards by Dec. 11 in a one-time payment for the whole month. This means those receiving SNAP may get their benefits earlier than usual. It is NOT an added payment. DHS does not have time to mail notices. See flyer below:
Free Cooked Christmas Dinners for Families and Individuals
Ann’s Heart is providing FREE cooked Christmas Eve Dinners for families and individuals for pick up on Christmas Eve (12/24) morning from 10AM – 12PM.
Thanks to our partners at PACS and Uncle B’s BBQ, we will provide either Turkey or Ham dinners for anyone in need this holiday season.

Food Pantry and Meal Locations for December
The Phoenixville Food Insecurity Team has released the following info on food pantry and meal locations for December:
LIHEAP Assistance for Heating Bills Now Available
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is now accepting applications for its cash, crisis, and weatherization grants until April 9, 2021.
LIHEAP helps low income families pay heating bills in three ways:
- Cash Grants: Assistance for heating bills ranges from $200 to $1,000
- Crisis Grants: Up to $800 for families who have an emergency and are in danger of being without heat
- Weatherization Grants: Help families insulate their houses and repair/replace heating systems to save money on heating

PA Health Department Updated Orders on Travel and Face Coverings
The Pennsylvania Department of Health has issued new orders pertaining to face coverings and travel outside of Pennsylvania during the COVID-19 epidemic. Please see the links below:
Phoenixville’s Code Blue Center Opens
Phoenixville’s Code Blue Overnight Emergency Warming Center will open its doors Monday, November 16th, 2020 at 8:00 PM for the start of its 6th season.
Due to COVID-19 we have had to make changes to our normal operations. Please read below for updates on our capacity, referral protocol, and restrictions.
Location:
Lower Level of the Sacred Heart Church
146 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460
Emergency Access:
Parking lot at 30 Hall Street (located across the street from 12 Hall Street – parking lot on LEFT side of street).
Hours of Operation: 8PM to 8AM
Doors close / lights out promptly at 10:00 PM. No admittance past 10:00 PM.
Center closes for the day promptly at 8:00 AM.

Capacity: 8 individuals
Serves: Men and Women* from the Phoenixville area** ONLY.
* Due to COVID-19, serving children/families will be EXTREMELY difficult for us. Before referring families or youth under age 18, please call us to confirm that we are able to accommodate them.
** Phoenixville area includes: Phoenixville Borough, Schuylkill Township, East Pikeland, Mont Clare, Charlestown Twp
Accommodations:
Emergency cot, linens, access to showers and laundry, simple meals and refreshments.
Referrals:
Due to COVID-19 and limited capacity, we are no longer a first come, first serve center. Guests must call ahead or be referred to us directly by a partner agency to ensure an open cot. If you wish to become a referral agency, please contact us to be added to our list.
Guest beds will be reserved each night until they have been placed in long-term shelter, transitional or permanent housing. Guests who miss a night at the Center without prior notification will forfeit their bed.
All guests will be required to call 211, complete a SPDAT assessment, and work towards housing/placement.
COVID-19 PROCEDURES
- All guests will be required to wear a mask in the Center at ALL TIMES. No exceptions.
• All individuals entering the Center (including staff, guests, and volunteers) will be subject to temperature check and health questionnaire. - Anyone presenting symptoms, including fever, will be required to go to the Hospital or Healthcare provider to take a COVID-19 test. Re-admittance to the Center will not be allowed until proof of negative test results (within 24hrs) are provided.
We understand that these changes present challenges for everyone. We are working hard to ensure the health and safety of our guests, staff, and volunteers. The Phoenixville Food Insecurity Team has released the following info on food pantry and meal locations for November, plus Thanksgiving meal and distribution sites:
PACS has officially moved from Church Street and are happily spreading out in our new home at 101 Buchanan Street!! If you have not already had the chance to come down to visit, please schedule a tour with our Executive Director, Mary Fuller, by emailing Mary.Fuller@pacsphx.org.
