The flu is widespread throughout the US with CDC estimates that so far this season, there have been at least 32 million flu illnesses, 310,000 hospitalizations and 18,000 deaths from flu.

They recommend that all children and adults aged 6 months and older still get their flu vaccine to not only protect from flu illness/severity but to help rule it out if they are being screened for COVID-19.  Flu has been especially hard on children and young adults this year.  Pediatric deaths through 2/22 totaled 125.
