Mobile Hotspot Rentals

The Phoenixville Library offers mobile hotspot rentals for checkout

Mobile HotspotNeed Internet access at home, on vacation, or on the road for work?  Phoenixville Public Library is partnering with T-Mobile to offer a limited number of mobile hotspots to our patrons for a nominal fee.

The Library hotspot program allows Chester County Library System cardholders to access unlimited, high-speed Internet service anywhere a T-Mobile signal can be received.  Connect up to 15 devices at a time, including desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, etc.  Hotspots are perfect for schoolwork, business, travel, or social networking.

Phoenixville Library offers hotspots for 7 or 14-day loan periods.  The rental fee is $14.00 for 7 days or $28.00 for 14 days.  Hotspots must be picked up from and returned to the Phoenixville Library’s Adult Circulation Desk.  Eligible borrowers must be at least 18 years of age, have an up-to-date library card and registration, have a library account in good standing (cannot have more than $10.00 in fines or fees or other restrictions), and must pay the rental fee at the time of pickup.  Hotpots MAY NOT be returned to the outside book drops (a $5.00 fine will apply).  $20.00/day late fee and $95.00 lost/damaged fee apply.

Patrons may reserve a hotspot online, in person, or by phone at 610-933-3013 x121, up to 60 days in advance.

Hotspots are not renewable.

Using a hotspot is easy.  Just power it on, power on the device you wish to connect to the Internet, look for the name of the network connection (the SSID) on your device (e.g., “T-Mobile Broadband” followed by a 2- or 4-digit number), then enter the password that is printed right on the hotspot.
